LegalShield Appoints Robert Toevs to Head Communications
Toevs joins the LegalShield executive team, overseeing the company’s market-facing, strategic and internal communications
LegalShield has named communications veteran Robert Toevs Chief Communications Officer. In this role, Toevs is charged with developing a robust external and internal communications function for the Oklahoma based legal services provider.
He is reporting to LegalShield CEO Warren Schlichting.
“Bob’s expertise is developing the corporate communications function into a powerful asset,” said Schlichting. “He brings a unique and seasoned perspective that drives revenue, elevates reputation and aligns culture. I believe his expertise can play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence and effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.”
With more than 20 years as a corporate communications executive in the tech, telecom and media space, Toevs built a full-service corporate communications function for DISH Network Corporation during a transformative period for the company. Under his leadership, he helped launch a category-first with Sling TV, guided communications as the company entered the wireless market, supported strategic initiatives and launched the company’s first corporate social responsibility initiative.
Previous to DISH, Toevs held senior communications positions at Qwest Communications, serving as spokesperson for financial, labor and crisis issues, leading the organization’s strategic communications portfolio, and overseeing its market-facing communications and internal communications teams.
Prior to his current appointment, Toevs served as a senior advisor to LegalShield’s management team. In his new role as a member of the executive team, he will be instrumental in shaping the narrative for both LegalShield and IDShield, the company’s identity protection product.
